Occupational Therapist- Days

$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments

As an Occupational Therapist, at Northwest Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.
Experience: Required for NMC:
  • One (1) year of acute care experience Preferred for OVH: One (1) year of acute care experience
Skills:
  • Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment;
  • Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented;
  • Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications: Required:
  • Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license;
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification
  • For Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
About the Job:
  • There are opportunities to cross train in other levels of care Northwest Medical Center including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, outpatient, and NICU.
  • This is a Full time day shift position working at Northwest Medical Center, will consider 5 days a week or 4-10 hours shifts. Two weekend days a month are required. Weekend shift differential offered.
  • Evaluates and accesses the needs of patients and formulates treatment plans.
  • Develop, carries out, and documents treatment programs. provides education and training for patients, caregivers, and families.
  • Coordinates within the interdisciplinary team including (but not limited to) nursing, physicians, specialists, respiratory therapy, dieticians, case management, ST/PT, radiologists, etc. considers, plans, and coordinates ongoing treatment plans to facilitate safe and effective discharge.
  • May supervise Occupational therapy assistants and aides. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to the Director of Therapy Services.
  • Plans and implements specific treatment programs for individuals patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
