Key Responsibilities:

Patient Evaluation Support: Help with patient assessments and gather data to support the development of individualized treatment plans. Document patient progress and response to treatment accurately.
Education and Training: Educate patients and their families about the therapy process, home exercise programs, and strategies for improving physical function and preventing injuries.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about patient care and treatment planning.
Professional Development: Engage in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and enhance professional skills.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. This program should be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
Licensure: Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Alabama. Certification through the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTAs may also be required.
Experience: Prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills: Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in executing physical therapy techniques and adapting to patient needs.
