About The Role

SUMMARY

Provides lending support to Branch Managers and Commercial Loan Officers by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lending Assistant:

  • Responsible for assisting underwriters and/or loan officers with processing of new and renewed loan applications.
  • Organize files for loan officers, as requested.
  • Assists in initiating Document Request Form for commercial loan officers and underwriters.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and branch regarding processing of commercial loan requests.
  • Produce and compile loan pipeline reports and other reports as directed.

Loan Processing:

  • Receives completed applications from Branch Managers or Commercial Loan Officers and reviews loan packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintains the loan application log and sends any required compliance information to the applicant, including, but no limited to, proper consumer loan disclosures.
  • Obtain flood certifications, OFAC checks and other loan compliance documents.
  • Work directly with the loan officers or applicant to obtain any additional information required.
  • Prepared Documentation Request Form and review documents for completeness prior to giving to loan officer.
  • Send loan documents to proper place for closing and collect after signing has occurred.
  • Send declines and completed compliance paperwork, as required.
  • Prioritize to meet the deadlines of the account officers.

Other Duties:

  • Loan file maintenance call back, as backup, as needed.
  • Coordinate with insurance tracking and collateral insurance vendor, as needed.
  • Answer calls.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Three years or more of related experience
  • Experience processing commercial loans preferred
  • Banking/financial experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Possess a high degree of investigative, analytical skills - be detail orientated
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge with LaserPro preferred
  • Must have the ability to work in a professional and confidential manner

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
