Description Planned Parenthood North Central States Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota Ultrasound Technician OR Medical Imaging Specialist- St. Paul, MN Pay: Medical Imaging specialist: $19 per hour or Ultrasound Technician: $30 per hour (experience will be compensated) Schedule: Full-time, 32 hours per week Shift times: 32 hours per week, 4 shifts M-F hours between 8am-4:30pm, may include some Saturday shifts. Minimum Qualifications: Medical Imaging Specialist High School diploma or equivalent education 1 year or more of medical imaging experience. Ultrasound Technician/Sonographer American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), or graduate of an Ultrasound Technologist program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). High School diploma or equivalent education Current CPR certification Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Perform ultrasound medical services in accordance with Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS) Medical Standards and Guidelines (MS&G) Perform transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound for gestational age dating, abortion follow-up, and Intrauterine Contraceptives (IUC) localization Maintain clear and accurate medical records, utilizing the electronic health record system Assist in the maintenance of facility for cleanliness, appropriate instruments, and optimum supply levels Assist maintaining ultrasound equipment for proper functioning in accordance with the policies and standards of PPNCS and regulatory agencies Participate in the quality assurance/risk management process for medical protocols, regulatory agency compliance, HR policies, and workplace safety policies Provide appropriate and accurate information to patients related to the ultrasound procedure Maintain patient and health center confidentiality Adhere to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and patient privacy regu ations Follow all state laws regarding mandatory reporting Comply with state laws governing abortion services.
