What you'll do: Troubleshoot and perform mechanical/electrical repairs on various types of equipment including cranes, furnaces, heating systems and pumps, forklifts, presses, mills, etc.. Determine root cause of equipment problems and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime Use mobile equipment including, scissors lift, boom lift, forklift, crane and other to perform job tasks Perform preventive maintenance on all tools, machinery and equipment Complete individual work orders in a thorough and timely manner Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. * * Working Environment: Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy. The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant. Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes. Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected. * * What you'll need: Sophisticated knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics with the ability to use this knowledge to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment Experience with repairs on Electrical and Mechanical equipment Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to operate various electric, pneumatic, and other hand tools Ability to work at high heights Ability to become certified for the following: NFPA70E, fall protection, confined space Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.
