Sr. Information Technology Coordinator

The Sr. Information Technology Coordinator works as a liaison between Tennessee Cancer Specialists and The US Oncology Network to provide technology service support, solutions, and resources for the Tennessee Cancer Specialists. This role is key to the success of our organization by helping support the technology needs of the business to ensure that our physicians can provide the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commitment and adherence to Tennessee Cancer Specialists (TCS) company values, code of ethics and compliance
  • Advocate for TCS best practices in technology services and partnerships.
  • Promote standard solutions aligned with TCS business objectives.
  • Promote trust and collaboration between TCS and The US Oncology Network
  • Provide local onsite IT support to all TCS practice administrative and provider staff.
  • Analyze technology services operations to identify potential areas for process and procedure improvements, aiming to enhance workflow efficiency and customer experiences.
  • Manage and maintain daily Lights-On operations for all assigned TCS applications and systems.
Operations and Service Delivery Management
  • Manages installations, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades of clinical applications, workstations, servers, and PC peripherals.
  • Manage the technology service delivery process to ensure the effective and proactive delivery and management of IT services to TCS.
  • Report on key performance indicators and identify issues and trends occurring within TCS.
  • Engage in regular scheduled reviews of IT Services with US Oncology Practice Success & Support Services teams to ensure alignment with US Oncology Network standards.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and ownership by taking on daily IT duties as necessary, including providing onsite and after-hours support.
Project Management
  • Participate actively in oncology practice projects to ensure on time delivery, on budget and meeting scope and quality expectations.
  • Assist with support for all aspects of project preparation and go-live, inclusive of transition to appropriate operational support teams and resources with appropriate documentation of processes.
Communication
  • Foster effective communications with users at the TCS to support efficient technology service delivery and change management between all parties and partnerships.
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly (depending upon practice size) technology operations check-in meeting to proactively identify and manage escalations or ongoing issues.
  • Provide regular status updates to Sr. Manager, IT Operations, and TCS leadership.
Minimum Requirements
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Healthcare system experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
Critical Skills
  • Experience supporting healthcare related IT functional area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, particularly in challenging situations and with non-technical audiences.
  • Experience implementing IT strategies in support of business requirements.
  • Subject matter expert knowledge of one or more IT building blocks including packaged software applications, software applications development, network, data centers, end user computing, telephony, mobility solutions, systems integration, reporting tools, etc.
Additional Knowledge / Skills
  • Physician practice IT experience, preferred.
  • Exposure to a variety of project management methodologies
  • ITIL4 Foundation certification
Travel
  • Local travel between TCS sites of service required.
Working Conditions
  • Daily work environment requires the employee to be onsite at designated locations.
  • Requires working in both medical and standard office environments. A valid US driver’s license is necessary.
  • Expected to live within reasonable commuting distance to TCS.
Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up-to 75lbs on occasion.
  • Some occasional stepstool and ladder work 12ft < required.
