Until filled Greenwich Public Schools is seeking a full-time long-term substitute speech & language pathologist for one of the district's evaluation teams through approximately June 30, 2025; the position carries full salary and benefits for the duration of the assignment.

Position Description
  • Provide mandated speech and language therapy for students with disabilities as described on each student's IEP
  • Complete speech and language evaluations for students
  • Write IEP goals and objectives
  • Serve as the Speech and Language Pathologist at PPT meetings for students, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the PPT process, referral and evaluation processes and IEP development
  • Maintain IDEA timelines, IEP compliance, student files and rosters for the school team
  • Participate as a member of the school-based Student Assistance Team
Qualifications Profile
  • CT State Certification as Speech and Language Pathologist (#061), or eligibility for same, required
  • CT Department of Public Health Licensure as Speech and Language Pathologist required
  • Successful experience as a school-based speech and language therapist
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing research-based speech and language intervention strategies
  • Knowledge and experience in special and general education, pedagogy, and assessment (including data analysis)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others
  • Experience or interest in providing distance-learning speech therapy
  • Proficiency with computers and various classroom technologies and the effective use of technology with individual students
