We are hiring multiple full-time Funding Specialists. Responsibilities include entering new funding applications into the database, review applications for accuracy, and process the application through Medicaid, Medicare, and Insurance companies.

Option to work remote after training has been completed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes funding applications for a specific region from receipt of the application to the confirmation of the order.
  • Communicates effectively with the customer's team and internal staff to ensure all parties are up to date on the client's application request.
  • Maintains professional interaction with all departments and staff with all forms of communication.
  • Needs to communicate with various insurance companies to ensure coverage and/or benefits are verified via web portal, phone call or third-party software.
  • Works with various funding insurance sources to ensure we have the most up to date guidelines, forms, and web portals to complete daily tasks.
  • Has knowledge of company policies, procedures, and requirements to answer internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Determines and collects any co-insurance due prior to confirming and shipping client's application request.
  • Attends and actively participates in Regional Team Meetings on a regular basis.
  • Works with our Legal Department on denials from an insurance application(s).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong teamwork, organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Extensive verbal and written communication skills. This position handles calls each day from a wide range of customers. They may need to influence, calm, diffuse, and persuade a customer through their conversation.
  • Must be an expert listener, maintain customer confidentiality and have negotiating skills.
  • Flexible, with ability to adapt to a fast paced, rapidly changing circumstances and must be able to think critically.
  • Must have ability to maintain a positive attitude, especially during high stress.
  • Must be detail oriented, with strong analytical ability.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma is required. Associate's degree and two years of experience in medical field or office environment is preferred. An individual with an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
