We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in performing vital medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a secure web portal, then conduct focused, in-person physical exams on Veterans. It is important to note that you will only be performing assessments and will not be involved in treatment or prescription of medications.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting health assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
  • Electronically documenting exam findings accurately as required by the VA.
  • Analyzing data from medical records and exam results to complete necessary questionnaires and form medical opinions.

This is a part-time in-person position with a typical schedule of three days a week, allowing you to work during normal business hours without the stress of on-call duties.

Key Attributes:

  • Strong interest in conducting Independent Medical Assessments.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to stay focused on tasks.
  • Proficient in using computers and electronic documentation systems.
  • Must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
  • Meets the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
