Shift: Days (8hr)

Pay Range*: $53.45/hr. - $77.50/hr.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing all aspects of speech language pathology services, including but not limited to: screening, examination, evaluation, care planning, treatment implementation, reassessment, discharge planning and education to pediatric through geriatric patients. Additionally, this position assists the Rehabilitation Services Director in overseeing the speech chart auditing and the department orientation of new staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Performs a speech language pathology patient assessment.
  • Analyze clinical findings to determine functional status/outcome after care.
  • Designs a speech language intervention plan.
  • Performs speech language interventions in a competent manner.
  • Educates others using relevant and effective teaching methods.
  • Produces documentation to support the delivery of speech language pathology services – meeting all requirements CMS and of the rehabilitation department.
  • Manages resources/incorporates economic factors into service delivery to achieve goals of the practice setting.
  • Performs duties of a clinical coordinator.
  • Addresses the age specific needs of all populations served.
  • Be at work and be on time.

  • Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Prioritize and multitask.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:
  • Three years of clinical speech language pathology experience required in a hospital setting preferred but not mandatory.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
  • Current California Speech Language Pathologist Licensure
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence - American Speech - Language Hearing Assoc. (ASHA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Card issued by the American Heart Association
