On Demand Counseling is Ohio's top provider of addiction recovery and mental health services for those working toward recovery from drugs and alcohol. We offer a variety of services including one-on-one counseling, telehealth, group therapy, and supportive services. Position Overview:

The Telehealth Counselor will conduct remote sessions with clients. This position is a fully remote contract position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide telehealth counseling to clients struggling with addiction and mental health issues
  • Ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of On Demand
  • Make referrals for other mental health / higher level of care
  • Act as an advocate for clients with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups
  • Provide outreach and case management to primary clients
  • Prepare written reports, regular case dictation and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics
  • Participate in curriculum development and supervision of clients
  • Participates in staffing meetings
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively function as an On Demand team member
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently and possess strong organizational skills
  • Exercise discretion and judgement in significant mental health matters
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors/Master's degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Required licensure: LSW, LISW
  • Desire, knowledge, and experience to work in treatment of addiction recovery
  • Ability to relate with empathy and sensitivity to clients and community
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to connect with warmth and compassion to clients


Requirements:

Physical Demands: General office demands including sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. Dexterity with general office equipment including but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and calculator. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines while adapting to a changing atmosphere. The employee will be expected to make judgement decisions, grasp new ideas, and communicate with various employees and clients at all levels.
