We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Day Registered Nurse to join our Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Acute Inpatient Rehab Unit. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting patients as they adjust to chronic illnesses or injuries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care as outlined by policies and regulations.
- Ordering, interpreting, and assessing diagnostic tests to monitor patient conditions.
- Evaluating patient needs and responses to care provided.
- Utilizing sound nursing judgment in patient care management.
- Providing emergency and primary care for workplace and non-workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Administering medications as prescribed.
- Collaborating with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients.
- Guiding ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of nursing experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings.
- Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Understanding of quality improvement principles and problem-solving techniques applicable to patient care.
