Senior Back End Software Engineer

We are seeking a passionate Back End Software Engineer to join our collaborative, fast-paced team at Capital One. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies to solve complex business problems and drive a major transformation within the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our customers
  • Utilize programming languages like Java and Go, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Java or Go
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
  • 2+ years of experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • 2+ years of experience developing REST APIs
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
