Position Summary:

Responsible for X-Ray and Bone Density examinations; providing compassionate patient care in a high volume, fast paced environment to patients of all ages; contributing to the efficient operation of the department, as well as ensuring quality and continuity of patient care.

• Perform requested exams according to the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards in an accurate, efficient and timely manner; as outlined in X-Ray Department Policy & Procedural Manual
• Demonstrate competency and proficiency
• Technique selection
• Anatomical knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their family members, team members, supervisors, managers and Radiologists.
• Perform all related computer skills (Merge/DR PACS, Merge RIS, Medent, Coding and CR)
• Maintain and uphold all MQSA/ACR guidelines.
• Maintain ARRT and New York State licensing requirements including continuing education credits.

Qualifications:

• Valid ARRT and New York State licensing requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable patient positioning and technique selections for modality.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to professionally communicate orally and in the written form.
