Senior Accountant

This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.

Assist in the research and analysis of general ledger account variances.

Development and maintenance of standard recurring Journal Entries.

Prepare and review assigned month-end account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis.

Act as business partner to drive resolution of reconciling items.

Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance team and functional leadership.

Maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
-
Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
-
Prepare Ad Hoc data requests and project work as requested.

Support the execution and application of technical accounting principles.

Interaction with key segment business partners.

Back-up others as needed in the primary accounting center environment to help with workloads as appropriate and to ensure work is completed timely and accurately

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.

3+ years accounting experience. CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.

Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.

Experience with INFOR M3 or a similar ERP software package.

Experience with OneStream a plus.

Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.

Ability to work and interact with various departments throughout the organization.

The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals at all levels of the Organization.

The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
