Sigma Healthcare Teamis looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Cath Lab for our client's hospital in Racine.

Shift: 07:30 - 16:00

Summary:
  • The Cath Lab RN will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the catheterization laboratory. The role involves assisting physicians, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing post-procedure care to patients in the recovery room. The Cath Lab RN will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care while adhering to policies and procedures.
Responbilities:
  • Preparing the cath lab for procedures, including sterilization and stocking of equipment
  • Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to patient needs during the procedure
  • Administering medications and contrast media as ordered by physician
  • Providing post-procedure care to patients in the recovery room
  • Documenting patient information and providing accurate reports to physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Participating in quality assessment and improvement activities
  • Maintaining proper infection control practices and ensuring compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
  • Valid RN license
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cardiac care or critical care
  • Knowledge of cardiac procedures and equipment used in the catheterization laboratory
  • Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
