Vice President of Finance

Imbed Biosciences, a pioneering leader in polymer science and therapeutic delivery platforms, seeks a strategic and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team. As we accelerate our growth trajectory in the $22B+ global wound care market and expand into additional high-value segments, we're looking for a financial leader who can drive our strategic initiatives and build a robust finance function.

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial strategy and operations. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join an emerging leader in therapeutic delivery platforms and contribute to its continued success through strategic financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic financial planning and analysis to support our multi-market growth strategy
  • Oversee and mentor the finance team, including direct supervision of the Director of Finance
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support expansion into new market segments
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare systems and GPO partners
  • Guide strategic decision-making for scaling our proprietary manufacturing processes
  • Support commercialization strategies across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Establish robust financial systems to support rapid growth
  • Manage grant funding opportunities and relationships, including DOD grants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business performance
  • Drive operational efficiency and manufacturing optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in senior financial leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience in medical device or healthcare industry
  • Strong track record in financial modeling and strategic planning
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams
  • Experience with grant funding and government contracts preferred
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities

What We Offer:
  • Competitive compensation package:
    • Base salary range: $160,000-$190,000
    • Annual bonus potential: 20%

Location
This position is based at our headquarters in Middleton, Wisconsin. Regular in-office presence is required.
