Join our team at UNM Hospitals in Albuquerque, NM as a Neuroscience ICU Nurse. We offer a Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement, and you'll work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. This role involves delivering safe direct care to an assigned group of patients and working in collaboration with the healthcare team to plan, implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
You will also assist with special tests and procedures, institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients, administer medication, ensure that patient medical records contain necessary information and maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families. To qualify for this role, you will need to hold CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers and RN in NM certification or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
Nationally certified in the area of specialty, PALS and TNCC and/or ENPC certification is desirable. Working conditions may involve the handling of hazardous chemicals and materials and may require the use of PPEs. Heavy work is involved in this position.
