Principal Mission:
  1. Perform operational, financial, and compliance audits for PFFCU
  2. Assist the external auditors and regulators in their examinations.
  3. Perform special projects as assigned by the Internal Audit Manager.
  4. Assist staff in Audit, Accounting, and other areas as required.
  5. Promote corporate values of member service, teamwork, commitment, and performance.
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Audit Manager in creating audit work programs for the areas being reviewed.
  2. Test compliance with operating policies/procedures and regulatory requirements.
  3. Substantively test balances.
  1. Perform quality control reviews, sampling Retail and Lending QC’s work.
  1. Document the work performed to clearly indicate the testing done, results obtained, and conclusions reached.
  1. Report audit results to management (i.e., exceptions to policy or regulations, weaknesses in internal controls, and recommendations for improvement).
  1. Perform testing and assist the auditors in review of the (a) Credit Union and (b) Employees’ Retirement Plan.
  2. Assist the NCUA in their regulatory examinations.
  3. Assist other 3rd parties in their reviews, such as the FHLB and the BSA/AML examiner.
  4. Assist and/or backup others in Internal Audit, Accounting, and other areas as necessary.
  5. Assist the Internal Audit Manager with any special projects assigned.
  6. Work with Security and Loss Prevention on defalcations and fraud.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge Required:
  1. B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance.
  2. Ability to:
    • analyze an area,
    • recommend improvements,
    • work with minimal supervision,
    • work well with others,
    • communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  3. Sound business judgment, Discretion, Attention to Detail
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel.
  5. Ability to work with others in a constructive manner that supports PFFCU’s values of member service, teamwork, commitment, and performance.
  6. Ability to use a personal computer; entering information via keyboard and accessing information from a computer screen.


Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:15AM-4:15PM Travel: Work at Greenwood locations, travel to/from other locations.
