We are looking for a dynamic freelance UI/UX Designer responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our various digital assets. You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and visual design that meets our client's brand standards and our definition of bold and evocative creative solutions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UI/UX design challenges, staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology. You will collaborate with a team of strategists and designers to determine user interface needs for each project, delivering high-quality conceptual solutions. Additionally, you will work closely with developers and other key stakeholders to ensure that concepts are translated into functional web solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Strategy: Investigate user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets and develop a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand
  • Conceptualization: Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
  • UI Design: Design UI elements and tools, such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets, for our digital assets
  • Testing and Optimization: Test UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, designs, flows, and target links for landing pages
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team and internal and external designers to create and deliver tailored digital user experiences
  • Research and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance on UX research methodologies and testing activities to analyze and predict user behavior
  • Adherence to Standards: Maintain style standards on typography and graphic design

  • Knowledge and Adaptability: Working knowledge of emerging user interface/interaction design standards and best practices
  • Responsiveness: Proficiency in creating designs for a responsive experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms
  • Attention to Detail: Strong time management skills with an emphasis on ensuring brand and design standards are met on every project
  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead or participate in projects from the design phase through final testing and QA
  • Communication: Strong communication skills-written, verbal, and visual-demonstrated through concepts and prototypes
  • Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving abilities, with a good sense of humor and the ability to stay calm and focused during crunch time
  • Self-Motivation: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with development teams
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of UI/UX design experience for digital products or services
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of technologies and software including Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, and Android Design Systems
