Overnight Shuttle Driver

A Hotel Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting hotel guests to and from the designated locations, such as airports, attractions, and other points of interest. The primary objective of this role is to provide a comfortable and efficient transportation service while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Shuttle Operation:
- Safely operate the hotel's shuttle vehicle, following all traffic rules and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the shuttle both inside and out.

Guest Assistance:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance with luggage and boarding.
- Provide information about the local area, tourist attractions, and hotel amenities.
- Assist guests with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Route Planning:
- Familiarize yourself with local routes, traffic patterns, and alternate routes to avoid congestion.
- Plan efficient routes to reach destinations in a timely manner, considering guest schedules.

Safety:
- Ensure the safety of passengers by obeying all safety and traffic regulations.
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, such as accidents or medical incidents.
- Maintain a clean driving record and promptly report any accidents or incidents to the hotel management.

Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as refueling and minor repairs, or report maintenance needs to the appropriate staff.
- Keep the vehicle well-stocked with necessary supplies, including fuel, water, and safety equipment.

Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of daily trips, including passenger counts, mileage, and other relevant information.
- Provide necessary reports and documentation as required by the hotel management.

Professionalism:
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with the hotel's dress code.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required for larger vehicles.
- Knowledge of local roads and attractions.
- Customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry luggage and assist guests with limited mobility.
- Stamina to sit for extended periods and drive safely.
Working Conditions:
- This role often involves irregular working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Exposure to various weather conditions when loading/unloading luggage and assisting passengers.
