We are seeking a skilled Traveling Superintendent to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and managing schedules for ground-up construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor forces to achieve project goals and objectives.

  • Attend meetings with clients and contractors to discuss project progress and requirements.

  • Review and become familiar with project budgets and general conditions estimates to inform decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the project management team to review and approve trade contractor payment applications.

  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with clients, contractors, and the project management team.

  • Conduct regular quality and safety inspections to identify areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

  • Communicate and enforce the Safety and Health Management Program to protect employees and stakeholders.

  • Manage project schedules, including the preparation of look-ahead schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.

  • Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.

  • Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings and conduct foreman's meetings to foster collaboration and communication.

  • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor to ensure clear understanding and expectations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 6-10 years of experience in ground-up new construction, preferably in industrial, commercial, warehouses, utilities, water treatment plants, or gas-related projects.

  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, and change orders to effectively manage project complexities.

  • Proficiency in Procore, utilities construction, MEP, and carpentry to leverage technology and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
