Primary Purpose:

Manages the central district warehouse as a support hub for campus and department receiving and distribution.

Education / Certification:
  1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  2. CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of your first date of employment.
  3. College Hours preferred.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
  1. Experience and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  2. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately, both verbally and in writing.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with campus, department, peers and vendors.
  5. Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and in situations with time sensitive schedules and deadlines.
Experience / Other Requirements:
  1. Three years of experience in warehouse operations.
  2. One year experience with Skyward or similar ERP and/or archival software is preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Communicates clear guidance and expectations to warehouse staff to ensure the most efficient use for time management and operations.
  2. Communicates with campuses and departments on all warehouse schedules for deliveries and other requests.
  3. Responsible for warehouse safety and maintaining MSDS on chemicals.
  4. Conducts weekly meeting to touch base with warehouse staff.
  5. Oversees the hiring, training, and evaluation of warehouse staff members.
  6. Delivers goods and supplies to campuses during staff shortages or as needed.
  7. Responsible for warehouse budget and expenditures.
  8. Assigns and coordinates pick up of books, equipment, and shred requests district wide.
  9. Coordinates all campus and department deliveries for timely distribution. Delegates daily assignment to warehouse staff for increased efficiency.
  10. Maintains accurate inventory records of purchased supplies including custodial supplies.
  11. Review weekly inventory to verify which products are on hand and which need to be replenished.
  12. Transfers items as needed or requested between schools and maintain records of the transfers in Eduphoria.
  13. Rotates all products based on first in - first out method and alike products organized together for efficient distribution.
  14. Maintains warehouse records, adhering to all policies set forth by the State of Texas.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises and evaluates Warehouse Staff.

  1. Ability to use a forklift, pallet jack, and lift gate.
  2. Ability to perform physical roles including, walking, standing for long periods, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting or arranging shipments up to 40 pounds.
  3. Ability to work in extreme temperatures year-round.
  4. Ability to drive long distances, use required equipment and maintain district assets.
