Make a real difference in crisis situations. LifeWays is seeking compassionate Crisis Clinicians to provide immediate support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Crisis Response: Answer crisis calls and coordinate response activities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead Mobile Crisis Aides and Peer Support Specialists.
  • Assessment & Intervention: Conduct crisis/risk assessments and determine interventions.
  • Documentation: Record crisis assessments, interventions, and follow-ups.
  • Safety Plans: Develop safety plans and ensure smooth transitions to appropriate services.
  • Counseling: Provide brief, intensive counseling and skill-building techniques.
  • Coordination: Work with psychiatrists for urgent medication evaluations and facilitate appropriate care.
  • Community Engagement: Inform the community about Crisis Team services.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Crisis Clinician I: Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker or Limited-Licensed Bachelor's Social Worker with supervision.
  • Crisis Clinician II: Master's degree with LLMSW, LLPC, or LLP.
  • Crisis Clinician III: Master's degree with LMSW, LPC, or LP.
  • Crisis Clinician IV: Master's degree with LMSW, LPC, or LP and Crisis Intervention certification.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and clear motor vehicle record.

Preferred:

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).
  • CIT Train the Trainer Certification.
  • Certification in Licensing Supervision training.
  • Board certification in counseling (NBCC or NASW).
