Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manages 2-15 staff members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility.
  • Assists in keeping the terminal and maritime operations in compliance with all local and federal regulations, reducing potential risk to public safety, environment, and company liability.
  • Ensures operators follow all company procedures.
  • Assists management with managing the facility's monthly budget and variances.
  • Involved with training current and new employees.
  • Answers calls and responds to abnormal operations 24/7.
  • Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
  • Recognizes equipment abnormalities. Communicates with maintenance regarding significant repairs.
  • Prepares regularly scheduled reports of operations.
  • Develops and implements operating procedures.
  • Attends Safety meetings and is an active leader in safety programs.
  • Complies with PSM such as MOC's.
  • Participates in company provided training.
  • Shares "On Call" with fellow supervisors.
  • Monitors operations daily to maximize efficiency.

  • Purchases materials for Terminal operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient in overseeing and coordinating operations within the energy sector.
  • Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of operators.
  • Skilled in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
  • Effective communicator capable of working with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in equipment maintenance and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Capable of training and mentoring junior operators.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelors in engineering, construction, or science highly preferred
  • 8+ years of related experience in inland terminal, gas plant, and pipeline
  • Previous supervisor experience in terminal operations preferred
  • Proficient PC skills, with knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of equipment, inland terminal/gas plant, and pipeline maintenance preferred.
Certifications:
  • Obtain and maintain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)


Travel:

Travel required locally or long-distance up to 20% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.

Equipment:

Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.

Mental and Physical Demands:

General office and sedentary. Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing up to 30 pounds.

Maintain emotional control under stress, work with interruptions and deadlines.

May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Environmental Factors:

Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.). Occasional exposure to weather related conditions when working in an outdoor environment.
