Position Summary: The Construction Superintendent will oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will coordinate with subcontractors, manage site operations, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee daily operations at the construction site.
    • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with contract documents and project schedules.
    • Manage the project schedule to meet deadlines.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Supervise and manage subcontractors and laborers.
    • Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
    • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards.
    • Inspect work performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures.
  • Safety Management:
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety standards.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.
    • Address any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.
    • Report project status to project managers and stakeholders regularly.
    • Manage and document change orders and project modifications.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
    • Monitor project expenditures and manage project budgets.
    • Approve and track invoices and payments.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on the construction site.
  • Ability to travel to different locations within Texas.
