A dynamic and growing accounting firm seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager to join the team. The firm is dedicated to delivering proactive tax planning and compliance services to a diverse range of clients. - Client Engagement: Build and sustain strong client relationships by maintaining regular communication and developing a deep understanding of their business and financial landscape to proactively address their tax needs.
- Tax Strategy: Stay well-versed in current tax laws and regulations, ensuring that clients receive proactive tax planning and compliance advice tailored to their unique circumstances.
- Growth & Development: Contribute to the firm's growth through active involvement in business development efforts and helping expand our client base.
- Review & Supervision: Oversee the preparation of complex tax returns and accruals by staff, including Federal and multi-state filings for corporations, S corps., partnerships, individuals, trusts, estates, and non-profit entities.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership to your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Offer mentorship and guidance to team members while assisting in the creation and delivery of technical training programs.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with colleagues to maintain a culture of integrity and open communication, ensuring a cohesive and professional work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Master's/MBA with an accounting concentration, meeting the NYS 150-hour educational requirement for CPA certification.
- At least 6 years of experience in tax accounting.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance requirements, and regulations.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
- Willingness to work on-site with occasional travel to client locations.
- Competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
