JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or food industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic math and record keeping skills a must.
  • Preferred experience with solid dosage forms including sustained and delayed release.
  • Requires good knowledge of GMP related to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel as needed.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for performing basic operating tasks such as, equipment operation, cleaning, and storage; raw material, in-process material, finished product handling.
  • Performs basic documentation requirements (i.e., cleaning log, tags, and labels). Requests room releases, completes processing room equipment ID tags and pallet ID tags.
  • Performs major and minor room and equipment cleaning.
  • Effectively locates required information in Batch Record, SOP, tags, labels, etc.
  • Weigh materials in support of R&D and scale-up batches.
  • Operates auxiliary equipment independently.
  • Works in team-oriented environment.
  • Assists other Operators as necessary to ensure scheduled work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs related duties
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Employees are required to wear eye protection and lab coats while in the lab area
  • Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures
  • Exposure to vitamins, mineral, herbal, and OTC products disagreeable odors, high-noise levels, constantly bending, lifting and standing for long periods. No allergies
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lb
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-60 lb
  • Ability to regularly stand, sit, walk, stoop and bend to perform task
