Position Summary/General Description:
A Bingo Paymaster Lead assists with the operation of all bingo operations, receives and records cash for bingo session, calculates prize money and pays payouts.
Expectations:

- Act as a role model within and outside the casino.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers.
- Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.
- Work directly with bingo employees, supervising bingo payouts and Paper Room.
- Provides support to Bingo management as needed, including reports.
- Observe, evaluate, train bingo employees.
- Issue and receive all papers to and from sales clerks in a timely and organized fashion.
- Assist with paper room duty while on shift, but is prohibited from acting in sales capacity while performing paymaster duties.
- Pay all prize money won during the session, and keeping track of all winning cards and numbers of winners.
- Handle multiple tasks at once and maintain organization.
- Balance all money and paperwork.
- Collect, separate, issue, and receive all bingo banks in a timely and accurate manner.
- After session, work with supervisor to ensure all money and papers are accounted for.
- Be the first and last employee to enter and leave the bingo hall except for supervisory staff.
- Speak clearly.
- Strictly adhere to Bingo Department Policy and procedures and the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations.
- Build relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests' names and preferences; connect with them individually and professionally; smile; make eye contact, and verbally greet guests from arrival to the property through departure; and provide fast and friendly service to guests) and exercise initiative, tact and courtesy when handling problems.

- Develop a thorough knowledge of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings, providing accurate directions, and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special events.
- At all times maintain a courteous, positive and professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).
- Work under pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays.
- Participate in cross training of all bingo positions provided by bingo designee as required.
- Actively participate in Supervisory Development Leadership Series (SDLS) yearly.
- Actively participate in LDC's Management Capacity Program (MCP).
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have 1 year of relevant experience and demonstrated ability to lead.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Cash handling experience required.
Licensing & Certification:
- None.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, crouch/stoop, hear, reach overhead, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to kneel 25-50% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull, carry and lift 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time.
- Requires the ability to carry and lift 25-50 lbs. 25-50% of the time.
- Requires the ability to slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 1-24% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull and slide/transfer 25-50 lbs. 1-24% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift, slide/transfer 50+ lbs. 1-24% of the time.
- Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan, make decision, interpret data, read and write 51-100% of the time.
- Train, apportion work among employees, direct (determine work techniques, equipment and materials), and appraise productivity.
- The job is performed indoors with exposure to loud noises, confined areas and exposure to smoke.
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Pueblo of Laguna's Gaming Control Board.
- Must comply with LDC and the Federal Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title 31 Certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening and cashiers test.
