Peer Educators have many important roles and responsibilities within the Wellness Center. The following describe the most common position responsibilities:

Each Peer Educator is responsible for creating and presenting one to two 1-hour educational programs every month related to their wellness team. Peer Educators also have the opportunity to present to new students during New Student Orientation and/or to other groups throughout the year.
- Professional Development- In order to effectively do the job, Peer Educators are given ample training to ensure they feel confident and equipped to be a resource and mentor on campus. These topics can include (but are not limited to) homesickness, roommates, concerns about friends, coming out, consent, and general health and well-being questions. This is an ongoing skill that PEs develop throughout the year.
- Role Modeling- Peer Educators serve as mentors and teachers in the community. As such, Peer Educators are expected to abide by all College policies and make balanced and informed decisions.
- Administrative- Peer Educators submit weekly reports, monthly session reports, and peer support reports as part of their role. In addition, Peer Educators assist the Wellness Center with any duties or tasks related to effective office management such as distributing toilet talks, hanging posters, etc.
