Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. The Warehouse Associate I works loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. They are to maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Job location is at customer site in West Palm Beach & Stuart FL

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate I in West Palm Beach & Stuart FL
Set schedule Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. OT Available
Direct hire. Full benefits package 15 days of PTO

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers in loading and unloading trucks
    • Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (asapplicable), counting products, and other like dutiesthat must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
    • Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
    • Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
    • Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, including all TSA and OSHA guidelines.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap material
    • The job location is at the West Palm Beach & Stuart FL
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
    • Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
    • Must have the ability to work well with others
    • High attention to detail required
    • Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
    • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted
    • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
    • Must be able to work in tight spaces and in high-stress environments

EDUCATION:

    • High School or equivalent required

EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 2 years of stand-up reach truck experience
    • Experience using an RF scan gun is required
    • Experience with SAP or other MRP system
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel
    • Previous forklift certifications preferred
    • Previous warehouse experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above their heads. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts

PAY RANGE:

$21.00 per hour

The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
