FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Provides care to patients with chronic lung disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides patient assessment and care, including collaborative care, case management, education, and discharge.

  • Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings for the purpose of managing/reviewing patient care and treatment protocols, policies, and procedures.

  • Serves as a resource to staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.

  • Assists with the development of educational materials for patients. Organizes and facilitates support groups for patients and their families.

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any additional life support certification as determined at the Position Level.

  • 1 year as Respiratory Therapist (reg).

  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
