THE JOB:

The Network Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the event production teams and clients to design and implement networking solutions that provide support to their shows and events for both wired and wireless networks. This position will be required to work with leadership to develop costs and technical assessments for new builds and life cycle refreshes specific to Sports and Entertainment events.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Development and enforcement of information technology (IT) policies and procedures.

  • Create & implement technical standards for the network including wired and wireless networks.

  • Ensure correct configuration, upgrade and installation of network equipment including wired and wireless networks.

  • Assist in Network Hardware Configurations for Cisco devices.

  • Troubleshoot and repair network problems including wired and wireless networks - onsite as well as remotely.

  • Prioritize installation of customer networks for events and shows.

  • Client contact and design followed by crew schedule and installation for concert and sporting events as well as large scale events.

  • Interact with the visiting production teams for sporting events to make sure they have connectivity throughout required spaces and to the internet.

  • Publish VLAN structure and on site and rental equipment.

  • Decide a necessary bandwidth and interconnectivity needed their show and build a diagram and relay

  • that to network architect to assign ports on the edge switches.

  • Assist and support other team members in resolving any operation issues that impact clients. Work with various 3rd parties to facilitate, manage and execute any special event IT requirements.

  • Track and document network changes with proper Visio diagrams and spreadsheets.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines.

  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a positive, winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities. Successfully manage time and technical responsibilities, set accurate expectations and meet deliverable deadlines while working in a team and information sharing environment.

  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to network design, hardware lifecycle, IP, and VLAN scheme and support documents.

  • Ensure installation, maintenance and management of Cisco infrastructure. Research and report on new IT industry trends.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience with Cisco equipment including catalyst switches and Cisco WLC.

  • Knowledge and experience with Palo Alto firewalls and/or Cisco ASA.

  • Experience with VMware.
