The Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse I is responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and procedures, and documenting treatment. This role also involves assessing and evaluating patient needs, collaborating with the nursing team to create a plan of care, and providing primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses. Additionally, this position requires cross training on the High Risk Antepartum Unit (D6N) and routinely working on both units (D6E/D6N).

Hourly Range: $34.65 - $35.69

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests
  • Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
  • Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
  • Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
  • Will cross train on High Risk Antepartum Unit (D6N) and Labor and Delivery Unit (D6E)
  • Will be routinely assigned to work on either unit (D6E/D6N)
  • If internal applicant is selected for this position, start date to Day Shift position will be September/October 2024
