Responsibilities:

  • Manage, prepare, and review federal and state income tax and partnership tax returns
  • Research tax regulations and laws to ensure proper tax filing positions
  • Identify areas of improvement for corporate income tax processes and work collaboratively with other groups to implement enhances processes.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to properly account for transactions and investments, by focusing on federal income tax implications
  • Provide guidance and research on emerging tax issues & laws and ensure best practices are being followed
  • Review ASC 740 workpapers
  • Lead and develop a team of tax professionals

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 or Tier 2 public accounting firm required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or M.S. in Taxation preferred
  • Expertise knowledge in income tax, partnership, and corporate tax
  • Previous experiencing managing tax functions and departments
  • Experience with process improvements, automation, and tax research required
  • Ability to make it into the office 4 days per week
