Summary

The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Vacuum carpets and sweep, dust and mop floors
  • Spot clean floor coverings, walls, doors and window glass
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
  • Empty and reline wastebaskets
  • Clean drinking fountains
  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies
  • Pick up trash and refuse and deposit in appropriate containers
  • Assist during emergency situations or hazardous conditions
  • Assist custodians as assigned
  • Assist set-ups as assigned
  • Perform related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Knowledge of:

Basic and safe operation of general housekeeping tools

Basic operation of building equipment and building systems

Ability to:

Possess a Valid Class D Illinois driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent with 6 months or more of direct experience OR Completion of high school diploma or equivalent with 1 or more years of related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License
