Sr. Software Engineer - MLOps & Experimentation at Realtor.com®

Location: Austin, TX

At Realtor.com, a Senior Software Engineer is a technical leader. You understand the long-term business needs and impacts of technology decisions. Offering a holistic system-wide perspective, you provide design guidance to multiple teams, advocating for trade-offs and fostering reusability wherever feasible. Your code submissions and approach to work are exemplary. You mentor by actively participating in the code review process, and design discussions. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and delivery for a complex problem space.
  • Provide guidance to team/s on system architecture and design.
  • Develop solutions that are of high quality, scalable, and reliable
  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers
  • Investigate and prototype technologies that can be leveraged to introduce new innovations
  • Be self-directed, take initiative, and drive towards solutions with little guidance

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in software development
  • 4+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design
  • Experience in building software or interest and ability to learn in the Realtor.com stack of Python, Typescript and React
  • Experience with database systems and AWS knowledge
  • Experience with Experimentation, MLOps and Orchestration
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and departments.
  • Experience delivering high value to customers quickly, frequently, with regular feedback and support
  • Experience with system design and trade-offs between design approaches
  • Strong software engineering best practices (e.g. testing, code reviews, documentation)
