Job Title: Oracle Database Developer

Job Locations: Irving, TX/ Tampa, FL

Our challenge

We are looking for a Oracle Database developer who will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. You will also work other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
  • Prepare documentations and specifications
  • Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Requirements:

You are:

  • 7 + years' experience In PL/SQL. Hands on shell scripting experience. Unix/Linux experience.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of data management concepts, including database structure, and proficiency with Oracle SQL and other standard database query tools.
  • Experience in data analysis, data mapping techniques.
  • Work experience with Business Intelligence (data architecture, entity relationship planning, dimensional modeling, ETL, OLAP, analytical reporting) preferred
  • Experience in database development (Oracle / SQL Server) will be an added plus.
  • Experience in Trading/Banking technology will be an added plus
  • Experience in Compliance/Independent Testing area will be an added plus
  • Data Warehouse experience is a plus
