Apply today if this sounds like a great fit Responsibilities: • Complete the patient’s insurance forms in their records, notating all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions • Welcome patients to the office, take telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer questions about treatment or prescription refills to ensure an excellent patient experience • Provide support to healthcare staff during examination by handing the correct supplies and medical instruments to the physician, position the patient, and assisting with other tasks as needed • Discuss patient information, medical history, and the reason for their visit to share with the healthcare staff • Document the patient’s vital signs including respiration rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, and pulse and write down the information in their chart Qualifications: • Able to use a computer to complete administrative tasks • Solid communication and customer service skills • High school graduate or has GED • Previous experience as a medical assistant performing administrative duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment is preferred • Completion of medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required Compensation: $15- $18 hourly
