POSITION SUMMARY

Receive, review, approve, notify and file all free and reduced applications.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Receive and approve applications.
  • Notify the head of household with a letter of eligibility.
  • Follow verification procedures and submit results.
  • Notify the manager of changes in student meal code status.
  • Follow all Federal and State policies for determining and verifying eligibility.
  • Assist in reviewing operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
  • Recognize the chain of command, grievance procedures, and level of job responsibilities.
  • Assist parents with application preparations.
  • Prepare all applications and record for USDA reviews.
  • Maintain meal status in eSchool.
  • Process all direct certification downloads during the school year.
  • Maintain all homeless and migrant records for meal status
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

Experience: Two years of Child Nutrition Free and Reduced experience.

Computer Skills: Excel, Word, Presentation Media, APSCN preferred, Eschool.

Certificates & Licenses: None

Other Requirements: Ability to leave the office environment to travel to locations around the city to assist Child Nutrition staff with free and reduced operations and other associated technologies.
