Position: Production Trainer
Location: Putnam, CT
Pay: $24.72/hr + $2/hr shift differential for 2nd shift
Shift:
1 opening on 1st shift 6:30am - 3:00pm
1 opening on 2nd shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Reporting directly to the Department Manager, as a Production Trainer you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment using standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include providing assistance in various areas of our manufacturing process as directed. Strive to meet plant goals and customer requirements. Safety is the top priority of every employee.

What you will be doing:

  • Sets example of professionalism- Entry level member of the management team.
  • You will be committed to achieving and maintaining an injury-free workplace.
  • Fully Qualified as a Material Handler and Inspector Packer for all tasks.
  • Train all new Production Associates on the shift using the two week onboarding program.
  • Re-train employees not meeting requirements or helps employees with jobs they are not familiar with or are having trouble with.
  • Will serve as the shift lead if the shift lead is absent.
  • Work as an Inspector Packer or Material Handler as needed.
  • Work special projects as required.
  • Operate PIT and documents safety checks.
  • Complete and maintain records according to production and quality standards.
  • Perform & document preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing and storage areas using 5S standards.
  • Other duties as required.
  • OT required at times

  • Typically requires a high school diploma and solid manufacturing experience.
