Project Engineer Co-Op

Position Summary:
The Project Engineer Co-Op will be responsible for assisting the Engineering group with design and development of spinal instruments and implants.
Essential Functions:

Designing and developing instruments and implants using Creo software
-
Working with in-house prototype shop and outside vendors for rapid prototyping and evaluation

Performing design verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet specifications

Collaborating with in-house engineers, surgeons, and outside vendors to ensure high quality products

Assisting with the creation of project plans and Design history Files (DHF) for each project

Partnering with engineers on all aspects of various projects

Assisting with marketing and product managers to develop forecasts and market plans

Ensures all systems are run according to manufacturer instructions, Safety requirements and guidelines, and SOPs

Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Experience with Creo software for design and drafting preferred
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
-
Strong self-starting skills, well organized, detail-oriented and capable of working in a deadline driven environment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
