About the job Clinical Audiologist
Specialty: Audiology
Location: Lakewood, WA
Job Type: 1099 Contract, Per Diem, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday -Friday, 8am - 4pm
Pay: $500-550/day
Job description:
We are seeking a Licensed Audiologist to assist with completing evaluations on Veterans of the US Military. This position requires reviewing medical records via secure digital portal and completing an assessment at each encounter.
The audiology exam process includes reporting findings through a web-based portal created by the VA. The online forms will provide an exact outline for what information is to be reported. The exam process only includes reporting exam findings and will not require treating the Veterans or making any further determination as to the Veteran's disability status.
This position is offered for an independent contractor (1099).
Daily volume averages 5-6 Veterans in an 8 hour shift and compensation is not dependent on daily volume or cancellations/no-shows. We pay for all scheduled shifts unless the provider cancels the day for any reason.
Position Requirements:
Commonwealth Medical is seeking an Audiologist to complete assessments that may require as much as 50% of the time reviewing medical records as a part of an independent assessment, perform Audiology testing and report all finding per VA standards. The right candidate will be able to identify relevant information from the medical records, and after testing, will be able to form a medical opinion as to the current status of the claimed condition. There is a need to work efficiently through the assessments as reporting should be completed and submitted in 24 hours.
The ideal candidate will hold and appropriately maintain the correct license to practice in the state where exams are completed. Also, this individual should be confident in navigating digital information and learning the information management platform. This is an independent position; we require the ability to work a daily schedule with little oversight and excellent skills in both internal and external communications.
