Job Responsibilities:

As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT or LVT) at Zebulon Animal Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team and ensuring the comfort and health of our patients. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Taking detailed histories and providing initial client education.
2. Assisting with surgical procedures and closely monitoring patients during surgery.
3. Providing compassionate care for hospitalized patients.
4. Conducting daily callbacks to clients, maintaining open lines of communication.
5. Expertly restraining patients during various procedures.
6. Assisting in the process of taking radiographs.
7. Administering IV & IM injections safely and accurately.
8. Dispensing controlled drugs with meticulous attention to detail.
9. Placing IV catheters and proficiently maintaining feeding tubes and urinary catheters.
10. Performing cytologies under supervision.
11. Following opening and closing procedures for the hospital.
12. Performing routine cleaning tasks to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and requirements:

1. RVT, CVT or LVT Licensed in the state of NC
2. AVImark experience is a plus.
3. Detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
4. Positive and professional attitude, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
