MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is seeking a dedicated Project Applications Engineer I to plan, organize, and manage quotations, technical information, submittals, orders, and customer communications for the Standard Solutions business. This role serves as the primary contact between customers and CPSD from quotation through order entry verification.

What You'll Do:
  • Prepare and Present Quotations: Review RFQ information and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to develop quotations that include specification compliance, pricing, Bill of Materials, drawings, and procedures.
  • Provide Technical Support: Deliver application engineering support for internal and external customers, ensuring solutions meet technical requirements.
  • Support Onsite Services: Assist other departments by providing technical expertise for onsite services as needed.
  • Track and Document Orders: Maintain and communicate order details, technical requirements, and customer information. Ensure documentation aligns with MEPPI's quality system standards.
  • Recommend Product Applications: Identify and recommend CPSD products that best meet customer needs.
  • Create and Review Drawings: Develop, present, and review electrical, schematic, system, and mechanical drawings to support customer and internal needs.
  • Promote CPSD Products: Draft written and verbal communications that describe and highlight CPSD product benefits.
  • Mitigate Risks: Collaborate with the management team and internal departments to identify and minimize risks associated with customer and vendor orders.
  • Optimize Costs: Work with internal departments to evaluate and mitigate order-related costs effectively.
  • Participate in Factory Tests: Join factory witness tests as necessary to ensure product compliance and quality.
  • Innovate and Improve: Identify cost improvements and new product opportunities to enhance CPSD offerings.
What You Bring:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with 0-2 years of experience in applications engineering or outside technical sales in power quality/distribution-or equivalent education and experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with UPS or other power quality equipment, batteries, and/or UPS distribution switchgear.
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to read, understand, and create technical drawings and materials.
  • Communication Skills: Intermediate interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to engage effectively with customers, employees, and suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer and project needs.
  • Tech-Savvy: Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, CAD software, and ERP business systems.
