Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Engineer to oversee and manage the engineering and technical aspects of our industrial machinery projects. This role demands coordination across multiple teams, meticulous schedule management, strict adherence to quality and safety standards, and the ability to provide technical leadership. The Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Management: Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from contract execution through final delivery, ensuring accurate project planning, deliverables, reporting, and spending forecasts. Projects must meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Data Management: Utilize SAP, Excel, and other reporting tools to collect, analyze, and report key project data.
  • Capacity Planning: Monitor internal resources and proactively communicate future resource requirements to upper management.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, driving individual and collective success.
  • Vendor & External Resource Management: Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and external engineering firms to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all projects meet company health and safety regulations as well as quality standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance for equipment repairs, improvements, and audits, both onsite and offsite as part of service agreements.
  • Failure Analysis & Solutions: Perform in-depth failure analysis and implement effective technical solutions to enhance system performance.
  • Sales & Business Development Support: Assist in the development of sales strategies, preparation of commercial offers, and formulation of business policies that support long-term company growth.
  • Client Relations: Maintain and strengthen client relationships through exceptional communication and project transparency, contributing to business growth and customer retention.
  • Plant Optimization & Enhancement: Support sales teams in identifying plant enhancement opportunities and evaluating capital investments, including payback period and ROI analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Communication Excellence: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with clients.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Client-Centric Focus: A customer-first mindset with exceptional client relations and customer service skills.
  • Organizational Expertise: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Proven leadership ability, fostering team collaboration, and driving successful outcomes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with SAP, MS Excel, and other relevant software platforms. Familiarity with MS Teams, Word, and Outlook is also required.
  • Bilingual: Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Local Candidates: Candidates must be local to the area and authorized to work in the U.S.
