Summary Assembles machinery components, such as operating cylinders, electric control cases, transmissions, clutches, and special tools, according to specifications by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Transports and lifts specified parts from storage to work area manually or by using overhead crane/swing crane.
  • Operates hydraulic press.
  • Heats parts with use of blow torch.
  • Work quickly and safely to assemble heated parts before they cool down.

Follow safety procedures, security protocol, and wear proper PPE.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
