Department: Licensed Practical Nurse

Full Time - Rotating Shifts

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients of all ages
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
  • Institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients
  • Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel
  • Maintain patient medical records
  • Ensure patient safety by following policies and protocols, proactively identifying potential issues, and promptly reporting any concerns
  • Clean patient rooms, equipment, and instruments; order and store supplies; maintain appropriate PAR levels
  • Perform routine treatment procedures and assist with complicated treatments under the supervision of RN or attending physician as requested
  • Administer medications and monitor results, excluding IV medications, via the Seven Rights and document and communicate clinical findings

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current CPR certification for Healthcare/BLS
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in NM or reciprocal agreement
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, which may include heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of patients or equipment
  • No minimum experience required, but 1 year of directly related experience is preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo is a plus
