The Funds oversees and manages $9 billions of dollars in assets, which are made up of many, varied and complex funds. The dollars come from a number of sources, including the property owners who pay into the funds on behalf of their employees, and as such, requires those who oversee and manage the money to be highly skilled financial management people.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Investment Analyst and in collaboration with the Fund's investment advisers, the Investment Analyst will provide support for the fund's investment program. This role involves assisting in monitoring existing investments, analyzing fund performance, and contributing to the fund's strategic objectives. The Investment Analyst will work closely with the Senior Investment Analyst to support investment processes, including due diligence, reporting, and research tasks to help ensure the fund's objectives are met effectively and efficiently. The Investment Analyst will monitor existing investments, evaluate recommendations related to the fund's investment program, and assist in the day-to-day implementation of the Fund's policies, investment operations, and investment programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Investment Analyst and service providers, including custodial bank, investment advisers, to support the implementation of investment decisions
- Conduct routine due diligence on existing investment relationships by preparing reports and participating in calls and meetings with investment managers
- Perform research, analysis, and modeling to assist in investment strategy and portfolio construction decisions
- Support the Senior Investment Analyst in evaluating potential new investment managers, including gathering, organizing, and analyzing due diligence data.
- Help maintain investment records, including fund policy documents, databases, and the investment book of record (IBOR)
- Reconcile investment transactions and performance data on the custodial platform and across analytical systems
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow projections to support rebalancing and liquidity needs
- Monitor and report on industry trends, bringing relevant information to the attention of the Senior Investment Analyst for consideration
- Assist in preparing materials for pension fund board meetings, including performance reports and investment updates
- Aid in the preparation and analysis of portfolio risk metrics, exposures, and other key performance indicators
- Perform other relevant duties as directed by the Director of Investments
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline required
- 1-3 years of experience in a finance or investment related position, preferably at a multi-employer, public, or corporate pension plan
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of various portfolio analytic platforms and databases (e.g., MSCI Total Plan Manager (formerly Caissa), Solovis, DiligenceVault, eVestment, Pitchbook) preferred
- Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work under direction to support complex projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or other related designations (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement)
