ECS is seeking a Configuration Developer to work in our Randolph Air Force Base, TX office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a highly qualified Configuration Developer with an active Secret Clearance to work on our project at Randolph Air Force Base, TX. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment. Must hold and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance.

He/she will provide configuration management support

Qualifications:

Tasks associated with position

The CM must have outstanding soft skills as well as basic understanding of system technologies and software development process. The CM must build strong relationships with the Government and /or contractor personnel, these relationships are critical to the success of the program. The CM establishes processes and plans to provide technical and administrative direction to the development, implementation, monitoring and control of the procedures, functions, services, tools, and resources required to successfully develop and support the entire program. As changes inevitably occur in the requirements and design, the CM must ensure these are approved and documented, creating an accurate record of the system status and insuring uniform application throughout the system life cycle.

Required Skills:

  • US Citizen.
  • Candidate MUST HAVE a min. Secret Security clearance and maintain such clearance.
  • Associates degree with 5 years of experience performing Configuration Management functions.
  • Familiarity with CM, ITIL best practices.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Technical writing experience.
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
  • Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principals and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, business analytical and problem-solving/trouble shooting skills.
  • Effective Customer Service and management skills/capabilities; including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or externally.
  • High level of drive and ability to learn.
